Sadly, The Canine Club Is No More
Due to a variety of circumstances, including the economy and temporary, but serious, health issues, The Canine Club closed its doors on March 9, 2009. We hope to re-open some day, but there is much to cope with before that can happen. In the mean time, Robin can help you with your dog-related needs, including: FREE evaluations, in-your-home training sessions, dog walking, pet sitting (from visiting to live-in), and more - just ask! She can be reached at Robin@TheCanineClub.net or 775-240-6257. We have only changed this homepage to reflect that we've gone out of business - the rest of the site remains intact as a resource for our past and future clients (including the woefully out of date webpages). For the curious, on December 29, 2008, Greg ended up hospitalized as a result of a ruptured esophagus. He was in the ICU for 34 days, including about ten days medically paralyzed and heavily sedated, due to being on a respirator. Greg was eventually moved to the General Surgery Unit, where he spent another 40 days before being discharged. He should have gone on to rehab, but since we had yet to find affordable health insurance for ourselves and our staff, the rehabilitation unit wouldn't accept him. As such, he's on a self-created Physical and Occupational Therapy regimen. Greg is getting stronger every day, but his progress is frustratingly slow, though an almost full recovery is expected. Greg exclaims, "Thank you very much to everyone who has me in their thoughts, sent get well cards or arrangements, called, and visited. I am grateful to my wonderful family, who came from all over the west to stay with me, especially my parents, who were with me within days of admission and stayed for over two months. Most of all, I cannot say enough about my wife, Robin, who not only had to deal with my hospitalization and run our business by herself, but had to cope with closing down the business at the same time. 'Thank you' is completely insufficient, but they're the best words I can find." Finally, please remember that Robin can help you with your dog-related needs, including: FREE evaluations, in-your-home training sessions, dog walking, pet sitting (visits to live-in), and more - just ask! Again, she can be reached at Robin@TheCanineClub.net or 775-240-6257. |
